DEPENDENT CLAUSES
Dependent clauses are phrases with subjects and verbs that are not able to stand alone in a sentence. For example, in "We went in Rome to learn Latin" , "to learn Latin" is a dependent clause. It has a verb ("learn") and a subject ("Latin"), but it's not a complete thought and can't stand on its own in a sentence. Cum clauses are also dependent clauses in Latin. Here are the other different dependent clauses we will go over on this website:
- Indirect Clauses...
- ...Purpose Clauses...
- ...Fearing Clauses...
- ...and Result Clauses!!
